In an effort to promote safety and responsibility this Memorial Day weekend, Southern Eagle is launching an Uber voucher program. Recognizing the importance of safe celebrations, Southern Eagle is offering $20 vouchers for Uber rides to ensure everyone gets home safely.

In October, Philip A. Busch, President of Southern Eagle Distributing and the Busch Family Foundation, donated a high-fidelity racing simulator for the Indian River State College Veterans Center of Excellence.

Palm Beach Pride, presented by Compass LGBTQ+ Community Center, is a two day, family & pet friendly festival and a parade that features vendors, music, food and drinks. The event takes place in Bryant Park in Downtown Lake Worth Beach.

Bidders participating in the Summer Hunger Online Auction helped Treasure Coast Food Bank raise more than $16,000, enough to provide 131,576 meals for kids in need this summer.

Following a two year COVID-induced hiatus, area “celebrities” were back in their aprons Sunday to serve up a heaping helping of awareness for organ and tissue donation at the 5th annual Local Celebrity Lunch, hosted by the St. Lucie County tax collector’s office.

The event raised $6,400 for Donate Life Florida, a nonprofit organization dedicated to motivating Floridians to register as organ, tissue and eye donors so lives can be saved through donation and transplantation.

Event proceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs as they launch a new and exciting joint program for the youth of St. Lucie and Martin Counties. Working alongside industry professionals and experts, teens enrolled in this new program will explore career opportunities and learn the skills necessary to excel in those high-demand fields.

The motto of Fort Pierce-based Southern Eagle Distributing goes like this: “Making friends is our business.”

That might be good news for scores of people in Palm Beach County at risk of losing their jobs in the impending sale of a local, longtime beer distribution business.
